hey, I’m Karolina~!
An artist based in Los Angeles, California. Before becoming a tattoo artist, I worked as a graphic designer. However, my love for folklore, vintage illustrations, and children’s books brought me to a more hands on approach to art.
In 2024 I pursued tattooing and am currently working at Valiant Tattoo in K-Town, Los Angeles.
Random fun facts
I’m Armenian and at just 10 years old, immigrated to LA from Russia. This is why a lot of my illustrations have a hint of Slavic folk art and why English is my second language (yes I speak Russian!)
When I don’t know what to draw, I draw tomatoes. You can see evidence of this in my old flash and probably in my future flash. ( I can’t help it, I love how around and red they are!)
I have a little fur baby named Lavash. She is named after the Armenian flat bread~!!
Music has been a big part of my life, I studied violin, piano, and was in a choir at 7. In early teens, that turned into being a K-pop fan (f(x), Big Bang, early BTS, EXO). Now I listen to a lot of different music, notably: Bulgarian Choir, Russian Indie, Taiwanese Rock (mainly No Party for Cao Dong), and old Eurovision Classics.
I make my own merch. Either via Screen Printing or Block Printing by hand! I even have videos talking about both of those techniques.
